<p><strong>Finance Director</strong><br />York | Multi-site distribution business | £120,000-£140,000 + package</p> <p>This is a number one Finance role for a sizeable multi-site distribution business with a strong operational footprint across the UK.</p> <p>The business is well established, commercially active and at a stage where the MD wants a Finance Director who can be a genuine sounding board across operations, growth, margin and performance - not just someone focused on reporting deadlines.</p> <p>You'll lead finance whilst working closely with the MD and senior leadership team on the wider direction of the business.</p> <p><strong>What the role will involve:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full responsibility for the finance function across a multi-site operation</li><li>Acting as a commercial partner to the MD and wider leadership team</li><li>Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and cashflow</li><li>Improving reporting, MI and visibility across the business</li><li>Supporting operational decision-making around margin, performance and cost control</li><li>Leading and developing the finance team</li><li>Working closely with operational leaders across multiple locations</li><li>Supporting future growth initiatives and process improvement</li></ul> <p><strong>What they're looking for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experienced Finance Director / Head of Finance operating as a number one</li><li>Background within distribution, logistics, wholesale, manufacturing or another operationally led environment</li><li>Strong commercial awareness alongside technical credibility</li><li>Comfortable working closely with non-finance stakeholders</li><li>Able to challenge constructively and influence decisions</li><li>Experience managing finance within a multi-site business would be useful</li></ul> <p><strong>What's on offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>£120,000-£140,000 base salary</li><li>Bonus and broader package</li><li>High visibility role reporting directly to the MD</li><li>Opportunity to influence the direction of the business</li><li>Established business with a practical, down-to-earth culture</li></ul> <p>Click apply now.</p>
