Interim Management Accountant

<p>Campbell Grove Talent are working with one of York's most well-regarded businesses - a large, highly profitable, multinational with a name that genuinely gets people excited. We're helping them find a Management Accountant to cover an initial 12-month fixed term contract with the view to go permanent for the right candidate. </p> <p>This isn't your average Management Accountant role. It's a complex business with a wide range of income streams, a team that truly collaborates with each other, and a working environment that stands out in a crowded market.</p> <p>The kind of place people talk about wanting to work at before they even start looking.</p> <p><strong>The role</strong></p> <p>-You'll own the management accounts for the UK operation - full cycle, done properly.</p> <p>-Day-to-day that looks like:</p> <p>-Preparing UK management accounts end-to-end</p> <p>-Journals, prepayments and accruals — month end here is a process, not a panic</p> <p>-Balance sheet reconciliations</p> <p>-Full P&amp;L ownership</p> <p>-VAT returns</p> <p>-Building relationships with non-finance teams and getting under the skin of how the business works</p> <p><strong>What we're looking for:</strong></p> <p>Qualified accountant of someone close to completing their studies.</p> <p>Retail experience would be a real advantage here. This business moves fast and the numbers reflect that. If you've worked in retail finance before, you'll get it immediately.</p> <p>Beyond that, solid month end process experience, comfortable with complexity, and ready to roll your sleeves up when needed.</p> <p>You'll need to be available to start ASAP.</p> <p><strong>Location</strong></p> <p>Predominantly on site in York, with some flexibility around hours and the odd day at home if needed. The office is worth turning up for.
