Residential Property Legal Assistant
Our client based in York is looking for a proactive, experienced Residential Property Legal Assistant to join their growing and dynamic team. Travel to other offices<br /><br />THE ROLE: <br />Type and proofread correspondence and legal documents.<br />File, open/close, store, and retrieve client files per procedures.<br />Prepare and send mail with correct enclosures.<br />Handle copying tasks when needed.<br />Manage Legal Adviser's diary, meetings, and appointments.<br />Support secretarial team and collaborate effectively.<br />Assist clients in person and by phone professionally.<br />Answer calls promptly and relay messages accurately.<br />Participate in training and self-development.<br />Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client information.<br />Open and manage Proclaim files per risk procedures.<br />Format complex documents, including leases and tracked changes.<br />Follow firm standards for document handling and software use.<br />Manage deeds per procedure, including daily strong-room handling.<br />Comply with money laundering regulations.<br />Prepare invoices, accounts documents, and completion statements.<br />Conduct company and property searches.<br />Use Land Registry Portal for registrations and searches.<br />Submit SDLT forms online.<br /><br />THE CANDIDATE:<br />Prior experience in Residential Property law.<br />Flexibility to travel to other local offices<br /><br />THE COMPANY:<br />A growing and dynamic law firm.<br /><br />THE CONSULTANCY:<br />Edwards & Pearce acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
