<strong>Commercial Property Solicitor | Growth role | (2+ PQE)</strong><br /><strong>York | Hybrid Working Available</strong><br /><strong>£40,000 - £65,000 DOE + Benefits</strong><br /><br />QED Legal is recruiting on behalf of a well-established regional law firm seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor to join its growing Commercial team in York.<br /><br />This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded solicitor looking to take ownership of a varied caseload within a supportive environment that offers both autonomy and structured supervision.<br /><br />The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of commercial property matters, working under the supervision of senior lawyers while also having responsibility for more complex and high-value transactions as experience develops.<br /><br />The role offers exposure to a broad range of commercial property work and the opportunity to build strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the department.<br /><ul> <li>Managing a varied caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion</li><li>Acting both independently and collaboratively within a wider team structure</li><li>Advising clients on freehold and leasehold transactions, property transfers, and refinancing matters</li><li>Handling landlord and tenant matters, including leases and renewals</li><li>Acting on conditional contracts, development agreements, and related documentation (including overage arrangements)</li><li>Drafting correspondence, reports, and legal documents</li><li>Maintaining compliance with internal policies and case management procedures</li><li>Managing client relationships and supporting the development of new business opportunities</li><li>Supporting the wider firm through cross-departmental collaboration</li><li>Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently, billed accurately, and in line with targets</li></ul> <ul> <li>Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE in Commercial Property</li><li>Strong technical knowledge across a range of property transactions</li><li>Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload with minimal supervision</li><li>Excellent communication and client relationship management skills</li><li>Strong drafting, negotiation, and organisational skills</li><li>Commercially aware with an interest in business development</li><li>A proactive, collaborative, and professional approach</li><li>Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities</li></ul> <ul> <li>Competitive salary (£45,000 - £65,000 DOE)</li><li>Hybrid working arrangements</li><li>High-quality and varied commercial property work</li><li>Clear opportunities for progression and development</li><li>Supportive supervision structure</li><li>Strong team culture with collaborative working environment</li><li>Ongoing training and professional development opportunities</li><li>Established client base and growing workload</li></ul> QED Legal’s client is a respected regional practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining long-standing client relationships.
