Electrical Engineer
<p>We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing specialist at their site, based in a village on the <strong>outskirts of York.</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <p>This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency through expert fault finding, repair, and proactive maintenance. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>You will support a fast-paced production environment by diagnosing complex electrical issues and contributing to long-term reliability projects. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>What You’ll Be Doing</p> <ul> <li>Responding to electrical breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime. </li><li>Diagnosing and repairing faults in PLC systems, control panels, drives, motors, and sensors. </li><li>Carrying out scheduled electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks. </li><li>Ensuring all activities are performed safely by following full LOTO procedures and site safety protocols. </li><li>Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting condition-based monitoring. </li><li>Actively contributing to automation upgrades and efficiency improvement projects. </li><li>Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new plant equipment. </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>What You Need</p> <ul> <li>A time-served Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.</li><li>Solid experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment. </li><li>Strong technical competence in fault finding on PLCs, inverters, and control systems. </li><li>The ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics. </li><li>An analytical approach to problem-solving and diagnosing technical faults. </li><li>18th Edition certification is highly desirable.</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>Why You'll Love This Job</p> <ul> <li>Friendly working hours Monday to Friday, rotating earlies and lates (6-2 / 2-10)</li><li>1 in 4 Saturdays with paid overtime</li><li>Generous holiday 25 days plus 8 bank holidays</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>If you're interest to join a well-established, market-leading company with a nationwide network of sites, then apply today!</p> <br />
