It’s a squeeze getting in and out of the car park and it was very busy but luckily we managed to find a spot! I think it’s a bit expensive compared to car parks here in Manchester City centre, but it is close to the main attractions so I guess they’re entitled to charge that bit more
Make sure you pay for your parking... I was on an emergency Gas Call Out at the Raj Indian Restaurant . Split gas pipe, capped off to make safe. Came out after 25mins and drove home. 2 days later I got a hand delivered Pcn ( penalty charge notice) through my letter box ordered to pay a fine .... DO NOT FORGET TO PAY FOR YOUR PARKING. Your council won't let you forget.
My Wife and I went to York today for a visit to the Viking exhibition. We decided to park at this car park for the convenience as it was 5 minutes walk away. I was absolutely blown away by the scandalous prices! Wow! My jaw hit the floor and people behind me were laughing at my reaction. £13.50 for 3 HOURS!!!!! I almost spat at the machine in disgust. There was a lovely burned out van by the side to see when you arrive at the car park. Lovely. Ended up paying because all the other car parks were full and we had a time slot. But I certainly won't be coming back. DISGUSTING PRICE YORK COUNCIL!!!! 😡🗯️💢
Many parking spaces are quite tight and not well marked. Very hard to find a parking spot anyway. But the payment methods and the reminders are very good. Many people park their cars on the side of the road leading to the car park, blocking the access.
Sooooo expensive!! I checked reviews before parking here, which it turns out had out of date prices on photos. I suspect all parking in York is expensive and if you have the time to use park-and-ride it’s better for your pocket and the environment! This car park is VERY conveniently located (v close to the Minster, York Art Gallery and city walls) if you don’t mind the hefty charges and need to park centrally. It’s a small car park, but we managed to park OK on a Sunday. Pricing pic at attached
