Only available space was no 12. If you can get your car in, you can't open any doors. Completely useless. Needs removal of the giant concrete blocks that make the space unusable. Couldn't find spaces 27 and 28......
Great, central location. About 5 minutes walk to the Jorvik Centre / Shambles. It was 15 quid cheaper than the carpark for the same period of time.
Had reservations at a nearby hotel so decided to pre-book a space a couple of days before. Arrived as scheduled and found the only available space (lot 12) impossible to park. This is no exaggeration, please look at pics posted. A compact car could not fit into that space let alone a station wagon, which was what I was driving. As there were no other JustPark lots available, we had no choice but to leave and park at another carpark nearby (Coppergate) instead. Incurring this additional cost was totally unnecessary not to mention the anxiety it gave us when we couldn't find a proper lot to park. And we couldn't cancel even though we can't park. A proper JustPark lot was available only much later in the afternoon. By then we have already incurred a big parking bill at Coppergate. Still we had no choice but to return to park at the JustPark lot in order to save on costs since we have already paid for it. Imagine all the inconvenience and hassle. When I drove out of Coppergate I was frantic that the available lot that I spotted would be taken if I were too slow. We were already very tired after a long drive in bad weather from Edinburgh and were sorely disappointed to find the parking here to be such a hassle. It was certainly a stressful and expensive experience for the whole family. Parking lot 12 should not be sold as a parking space. Dealing with this parking situation marred the whole family's trip. It was very unpleasant.
Unfortunately we had a problem accessing the car park, both the emergency code and the normal code we were given didnât work. I called the help line and the lady was extremely helpful but the first code she gave me didnât work but eventually she managed to get a code to work. This wasnât the most easy place to access. The car park was convenient for our hotel unfortunately this was the only thing good about the whole experience.
I parked my car there, payed by app, and when I picked up my car someone left a note to me saying that that bay was resident park đ If you donât know the place, look for a park before, itâs really hard to find
