Peel Street Car Park

Great spot - greater price Fantastic parking space near to the town center . We came during Christmas period. It was really full, we had to wait about 15 minutes before getting a spot we almost gave up as most of the people just came to drop their luggage from the hotel to leave for town and the parking space there are limited but then somebody left their spot. Very cheap compared to others around.

Avoid! Faulty payment machine, gives impression payment taken but no receipt/ticket printed. Same happened to man at machine next to us. Get fined and lo and behold they say machine was working with no issues. Ask us to provide proof. Well what proof can we provide?!?! We ask them for evidence, ie CCTV showing us at machine and how many fines were issued around that time compared with other days and maintenance logs. All we got was a list of payments that were taken that afternoon. Doesn't prove anything! Then they refuse further correspondence. Total scammers! Having used the car park several times before with no issues they have now lost a good customer through their greed!

Overcharged for over-night parking. The signage heavily advocates for 'pay on leaving', charges will be calculated on your time of arrival. The tariff sign shows an overnight rate of £4 (and some). I arrived one hour before the night rate was due and left less than one hour after the end of that night rate the next morning. They charged me a 24 hour fee. That was deception. There is an option to pay in advance with RINGO. Perhaps that allows use on incremental fees. I suggest anyone who uses this car park tries it out. I'm very annoyed at being overcharged. UPDATE after response from owner I have changed this review from 1* to 3* as the owner responded quickly and positively to the issue and provided a refund. They also state that their ticketing algorithm has been updated to stop it happening in future. I am not giving more than 3* as issue should not have occurred and I wasted time in obtaining a refund. But kudos to the management company.

Small car park, centrally located. Does what it says on the tin really. Prices are OK. £35 for two days in the city centre.
