AVOID! This car park now has a camera system operated by Minster Baywatch, which will issue a PCN the second you don’t cover your parking fee. They expected me pay the full evening tariff (£3.50) as I arrived at 7.52am (day tariffs start at 8am). There’s no means to just pay to cover your actual time and seemingly no grace period. Entrance/exit is tight as hell as well.
Absolutely bellend system. Arrived at 17:30 and got charged £2 untill 17:59. Not possible to book evening time from 18:00- till next day from machine if you arrive a minute early, you get charged £2 for any minute before 18:00 and you'll need to wait until 18:00 to extend you're booking Needed to use Ringo app from 18:00 to make another booking that cost another £3.4 Be aware and STAY AWAY, use street parking way cheaper.
I have come to the conclusion that all paid parking in York is a complete shambles (no pun intended).
Cheaper than most car parks in York. Good location too. Has Ringo so you can extend. Warning - the evening fee covers you for the night but there’s no overnight parking.
Price keeps going up, car parks tiny and you are guaranteed someone will bump into you. Don’t bother
