Very convenient coach parking for York

Very small, holds about 25 cars and, when we were there, 5 coaches but it could probably have taken more. There are toilets at the edge of the car park. It is a bit of a walk to the shops so I would advise not buying anything heavy or awkward to carry for the return journey to your vehicle.

This modest sized parking area made a really convenient drop-off point for our coach. It's only a 5 minute walk from here to Bootham Bar and the city walls, and a couple more minutes to get to the Minster and historic centre. The coach park is next to a 24 hour pay and display car park with disabled spaces and EV charge points. There are toilets (40p to use them), but I decided to give them a miss after seeing someone in front of me lose their money when the door refused to open (there are alternative public loos next to Bootham Bar). You can buy a very useful guide and map of York from a vending machine at the car park entrance.

Very expensive, £12.60 for 3 hours. Toilets cost 40p and close at 18:00 Coach park closes at 23:00 Coach park is next door to a homeless shelter, the majority of whom are clearly drug addicts. Could honestly not get any worse.
