Trains to Newcastle are often delayed, and platforms can change more than three times for the same train. Passengers have to keep moving from one platform to another. For people with disabilities and family with luggage this is especially hard—they must use long tunnels to the lifts, and by the time they reach the new platform, it often changes again. These constant changes and lack of accessible, timely communication make the experience exhausting and unfair. Clearer communication, better planning, and consideration for accessible travel are urgently needed
Very handy, but can be very busy. Not a huge place. Great for a short stay to pick up or drop off for the train.
Quite small, but ample for a short stay car park. Very reasonable price. My only criticism is that the entry and exit way only allows single file traffic and the cobbles at the entrance are very bumpy, but this is to be expected considering when the station was built. Overall, 5 stars, excellent facility and very close to the actual station.

29/6/25 - I've just used the car park and for information you can stay in this car park for up to 2 hours but you have to pay - I found contradictory information on various sites requesting how long you can stay. The first 20 mins are free but once you go over that you have to pay. An hour is £3.50 on a Sunday but that includes the free 20 mins so be aware. You don't get 1 hour on top of the 20 mins so be careful with your timings.
