Inner Space Stations Amazing Transformer Car Wash

A York institution, go on, it's bonkers good fun for what is essentially a petrol station with both washing your own, and mechanical car wash options.

Just used the Touchless car wash and stuck in the wash on a red light. Called on the assistance of Forecourt attendant Gary who gave myself assistance and very courteous . Excellent touchless wash and highly recommend .

Worked surprisingly well. It takes a little time to do a platinum wash cycle but worth it for a result which is just shy of a hand wash. It seemed to dry the car more thorough than other car washes I have used.

This place is bonkers! I’m a geek so I love all the sci-fi bits and pieces. I don’t live near here but was staying in the area. For a service station of this size, you would normally expect the prices to be much higher, like at motorway services, but they weren’t, which was a great surprise. I used the automatic car wash while I was there because I’m lazy and didn’t want to use the manual one. And I’m always lazy so I always use the automatic ones when I get my car washed. This one gave my car the best shine I have ever had with an automatic car wash, and the wheels came up spotless!

It started off OK. You have to purchase a ticket at the cash desk inside the petrol station shop and they give you a receipt which has a code on it. You then wait in line until the car in front of you has their wash begin. You then enter the code and once it's your turn you enter into the structure. Even though there are directions on the outside once you're in the wash it's difficult to see any instructions and for some reason we ended up being told to drive forward before we'd had the wax part of our service. Our car was dripping wet still. Don't know what happened there so quite disappointed for £8. It's also quite loud and shakes your car so the kids might get scared if you have them in the car
