I cannot recommend the service at Active Care enough. Thanks to Harry Whitaker, I was able to complete a marathon pain free despite an injury just three weeks out. His ability to identify and resolve the issue was first class and has shared clear instructions to prevent the issue occuring again. My 16-year-old son, who has Autism and a severe receptive language disorder, has had amazing results after just 12 sessions of Novothor therapy. He’s now able to run, something he couldn’t do before, and his speech and conversations have improved so much. The change has been truly life-changing for our family. The staff are all wonderful, kind, caring, and supportive every step of the way. We are so grateful for everything they’ve done. I was traveling through York on my backpacking trip and needed to see a chiropractor. Active Care Chiropractors managed to fit me in on such short notice. The service was exceptional, from the receptionist to the thorough appointment with Harry. I found it very reasonably priced for a traveler and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely excellent and professional service. 10/10. I have been using the NovoTHOR bed (Red Light Therapy/Photobiomodulation) for the last couple of months at Active Care Chiropractic. I can't recommend the treatment and the service of the staff enough! I will definitely return in the future. The benefits I now have are: - Overall significant decrease in Long Covid symptoms - Reduced sore joints and less aching - Improved sleep, and waking up easier - Improved skin appearance - Improved eyesight (This was incredible to me, my vision became much clearer and sharper, colours looked brighter, and I could see further!) - Reduced mental fatigue and physical fatigue - More energy - More calmness - Reduced anxiousness and low mood - Improved focus and cognitive function (it actually helped me with my ADHD symptoms; just after only a few sessions, I could finally read a page of a book very easily, and my mind felt much "clearer"). Initially, I wanted to help heal my Long COVID, which unfortunately I had had since January 2025. Since having Long COVID, I would wake up with sore joints and pains, feel mental and physical fatigue, and my body would just be constantly aching. I looked into Red Light Therapy, and found that a state-of-the-art machine called 'NovoTHOR', could help heal Long COVID significantly over time. I contacted Active Care Chiropractic, since they have one of the NovoTHOR machines, and immediately found them to be incredibly friendly and helpful. I already had a good feeling about their service from their website, but my conversation with them on the phone confirmed my intuition that they were incredibly professional and keen to help. They offered me a completely free first session to use the NovoTHOR bed, which I found to be generous and accommodating. After feeling some positive effects after my first session (feeling more relaxed and experiencing a good night's sleep immediately), I decided to go through with the 12-session package. I can confidently say that for every session that I had in the NovoTHOR at Active Care Chiropractic, I was extremely satisfied. Now that my 12-session package has finished, I feel a lot better, physically and mentally. Red Light Therapy helped in speeding up my recovery from Long Covid and countless other things, too. Thank you so much to the staff at Active Care Chiropractic (Vicky, Nancy and Brenda), you were all incredibly helpful, professional and kind. I contacted Active Care after it had been recommended to me as I have struggled for 2 years with knee pain. Doctors were unable to help as unsure of the cause of pain. I emailed the clinic detailing my situation, I received a quick response and it was recommended I go in for a consultation. I was booked in with Tristan, not only is he and everyone at the clinic lovely, he is extremely knowledgeable. I was treated with kindness and respect. I was instantly made to feel at ease and its the first time in 2 years that someone has been able to help my pain, I have continued to book in with Tristan and I could not recommended him and the clinic enough.
