Priory Medical Group - Victoria Way Surgery

Avoid Priory Group at all costs. System misses potentially dangerous illnesses all the time. I was waitlisted for a 6 week non urgent appointment, and despite getting admitted to hospital later that night for the same complaint, on discharge from hospital the hospital asked for me to be reviewed by this surgery within a week. 3 months later the partner at the gp responded with a written email to my complaint that I had not been seen- but I still did not get an appointment. When I rang yet again the receptionist tried to tell me I had been seen as the pharmacist had continued to give me my medications. Many of the GPs base diagnoses off blood tests alone without taking appropriate medical histories, completing systems reviews or doing clinical examinations. There are good nurses working there, and a couple of good GPs, but overall the way it is run makes this practice dangerous, and very unwell patients can easily slip through the cracks.

Was not happy with the doctor phone call first I had to wait 5weeks then gets a text to ask me if I still need the call!!! It was about my pain medication that I had a reaction to, so I wasn't taking my prescribed medication for 5 weeks, then when she rang me all she said was that they had taken the medication off my repeat list she was not interested about my side effects, when asked her what else could I do she said she didn't know!!!! Also I was prescribed apixaban (blood thinners) not sure why they did this as I am not on them I only took them when I was in hospital & 2 weeks after coming home, so I asked her to take them off my repeat prescription & also to put on my records that these were prescribed by mistake!!! Not sure if this has been done as it was a fault at your end & not mine!!!

Ordering repeat prescription is appalling. Been requesting medication every week and still not recieved anything. Also 1 member of staff rude

Had sore throat for a week, visited pharmacist, got antibiotics and was told to contact GP if it didn't get better. It didn't, so I contacted via online portal and was told my issue is routine and someone from the GP would contact me in 4-6 weeks. I can barely swallow, I've had this for 3 weeks now, and they wouldn't even prescribe me a new stronger round of antibiotics. Very disappointed.

Always great when I need them. I use the online system as I know the phones can be busy. In case of what I would class as an emergency for seeing a go they usually get back to me in the hour. In terms of things that can wait a bit longer usually a couple of days the staff have always been supportive when I go in
