I've only ever had positive experiences with York Medical Group. The online service works well, emergency appointments needed within 24 hours have been given, though the wait for non urgent has taken many weeks (hence 4 stars not 5) the reception team are supportive as are the pharmacy. I personally feel they get appointments quickly and deal with things accordingly.
Took 6 months to get back to me. In a very brief phone conversation, I got told my ankle was fine and just to rest it. Only contact I had. It needed surgery only a few months post the call and I was in physio for a year.
Up until know I have been with this surgery since it was in Petergate, but recently the service has been shocking. York Medical Group had a perfectly efficient automated service which they have deemed in their infinite wisdom to discontinue it, so for people like myself (I am bedbound ) I find myself having to scrabble around on their lousy website and failing to order the necessary medical supplies that I urgently need. Thanks a lot NHS , it's no wonder that our health system is rated no. 17 out of 100 healthcare systems in the world. I have recently tried to contact you, but hung after waiting 30 minutes on the damn phone.
Why can't i make appiotment online when it's closed it's a online appiotment to see a doctor or nurse that want to see I know it's shuts at 18.00 so I don't understand why you can't do online appiotments it's crazy to visit your GP
I am absolutely terrified of doctors and I rang up today after avoiding the doctors for a long time and when I say the receptionist was understanding and empathetic that isn't even close. This women made me feel heard and took the time to make me feel comfortable about making an appointment I cannot give this receptionist enough credit because this is something I have been avoiding for so long and for someone to have the patience with me to make me feel safe and listen to me so I could take the steps to make an appointment I could not appreciate that more. Thank you so much
