On Friday I charged my husband's car successfully but only because he didn't get anywhere using the app (installed earlier same day, maybe that was the problem). Three days later and I've received a threatening email from BP pulse saying they'd "requested payment for the £7.75 outstanding" (they hadn't) and I had to pay immediately or they might get a debt recovery company involved. OK Pulse. Firstly, you have my debit card details so why not take the money at the time? Why not check you'd actually sent a payment request - was it an email? Perhaps try resending it... And thirdly, 89p per kWh? In future we'll look for other options, you'll be the last resort. Not happy. 😡 By the way, you've sent 3 requests for a review (which confirms your emails ARE reaching me!)

I was unable to control the charging with the app, so ended up getting a full charge when I only needed 40%. Other site users were unable to charge using their payment cards. In spite of having money available and connected to my BP Pulse card, BP then had the cheek to accuse me of not paying. Not a reliable site at all.

Frustrating and disappointing experience though I did eventually manage to charge. A local user said how the site had gone downhill too. Slow machines that looked uncared for, contactless not available with no date for reinstatement (though unlike the previous week at York's other hub at least the app was working). My initial choice, the neighbouring Ionity hub was even worse. Give me Gridserve any day!

I hate the charging side of owning a electric car ,I’ve a vw id3 ,I came down to York from Durham I went to the designer outlets I used @ 50% so I tried the Tesla chargers I’ve got the app it said it was charging on my phone NO so I went to MonksCross @10 away now I tried 3o the 50kwh charges NO so I went over the road to the BP 150kwh charges again faulty charger so I phoned the no got got a great guy on the line stopped with me the charger was faulty so I tried the one next to it & it worked 🙏🏻😂but because of the traffic coming out of the car park it was only 50 meters from 1 station to the other it took believe it or not 2 1/2 hours + less than 30 mins to charge up to get back to Durham I like the electric car but it’s not for travelling more than 80 m from home ,I don’t drive like miss Daisy I drive the way I’ve always done for 47y so I’ll stick to long journeys with my beloved Transporter T5 21 y old in mint condition bought new 19tdi best diesel engine ever made by VW I can Tavel to London & Back on a 80litre tank easy but the electric car is a no brainer for local driving charging at home on cheap night rate ,I drove back from York charged to 80% when I got back I had 17% left with her heated seat on & the heater on 20 ,less than ……. Mins 😂 so Bp have along with Tesla gotta get ya act together it’s definitely put me off so much anxiety & it shouldn’t be like this especially when your charging 89p a kWh when it’s busy WHAT THAT GOT TO DO WITH THE PRICE it was the same at the Tesla chargers they were normally 33p kWh but because it was Saturday afternoon they bump it up to 89p it’s BOLLOCKS

The first change point I connected to wouldn’t communicate with my vehicle. I had to move it along to another charger and when we did that communication was good and we were able to charge easily. Expensive charge rate though.
