Poor, you need to download an app rather than just tap and pay. York council also want payment for parking. We couldn't get the authorisation set up on the app so had to leave, we were not the only ones.
Using CCS faster charger, it was a wet day and perhaps for that reason it was faulting out on the final safety check. After calling support, closing car door, and trying 4 times, it worked OK. A notice on the EV point says that EVs are not required to pay parking fees whilst rapid charging. Max stay 90 minutes.
This is the most absurd set of charging points I have ever seen. As you can see from the other reviewer's phot, a line of cars is parked centrally. The charging points are at the sides, this means unless you own a very small car it is almost impossible to get into the bays in the first place. After a 60 or 70 point turn I managed it, the charger seemed to be alive, it repeatedly asked for me swipe my RFID card, which I did, and to connect to the charger. All of this just kept happening, round and round, until I gave up (whist swearing a lot). It then took another 30 or 40 point tune to escape. Meanwhile of course i was totally blocking the route for others to leave the car park. All I can suggest is that whoever designed this fiasco should be consigned to years of trying their charge there. (no stars if this is a possibility, since this is not a charging station)
Nice location, and I had to pay for parking to charge. A bit of a rip off, as you have to park to charge your car and then you have to pay for charging your car. Who came up with this stupid idea can they see the irony of the situation . Which came first chicken or the egg.. look into this York city council ..
Tight parking lot and expensive but decent 50 kw speed. No issues
