The studio 56 Hair and Beauty

Love my new bob !! I originally came into the salon wanting a colour transformation but after talking to Anissa I realised a restyle would be better suited for me. I got booked in straight away and I’m so happy with the outcome. Such lovely ladies in the salon also 💕

I’ve been going to Sophie for years at studio 56 and wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair :) always have a lovely time in the salon and will be taking my daughter there too!

I called in yesterday to ask if someone could trim my fringe, explaining that I was in York for a few days and so it didn’t need to be done straight away. A blonde girl who was very polite went to ask someone out the back. She came back and said we are full today and I cannot book future appointments as I don’t know how to use the booking system. There were at least two other hairdressers in the salon at the time. So, nobody was prepared to even check - surely at least one person can use the booking system in there, what did they do if anyone rang up to book a future appointment that day? Absolute liars! I since found a lovely salon called fusion who did my fringe. The blonde girl also told me that the salon had different staff in the next day - I have just passed and the same blonde girl is in today. I felt like going in and having a pretty woman moment (big mistake) but that is too dramatic even for me. I paid £10 at fusion for 2 mins work, so was prepared to pay. Next time don’t lie to passers by who are willing to pay! For all she was pleasant the other hairdresser didn’t even look up. Not a great experience I’m. It even going to give 1 star, but had to click on 1 to post!

Fantastic updo from Sophie! Exceeded all expectations and lasted all day and night. Had no idea who, what or where this salon was before hand other than emails but honestly I was in York for a wedding and they were quick to respond and happy that I couldn’t get in before for a consultation! Sophie was so good….professional,friendly and so knowledgeable. Thank you so much Studio 56 for easing my day. Xx

Sophie and the team at Studio 56 are so lovely I couldn’t recommend them enough! 💖 I messed my hair up and they fit me in for an appointment straight away and manage to fix my hair in time for my birthday. I’m so grateful to them and the service they provide. It’s also a very well priced salon considering their location in York city centre.
