Summer nails

Really disappointed. Got my cuticle cut and staff member didn't apologise. Cost me £43 to have acrylic removed and biab applied with no nail art. Was very unhappy with the price considering the cut to my cuticle (which was then doused in acetone) Hygiene generally wasn't great. Two puppies were in the salon which is fine but they kept pooing on the floor and my tech kept going to clean it and then doing my nails again. Won't be returning.

Going to give an honest and fair review. This was the first time having my nails done here. My usual nail bar is an hour away from me since moving so thought I’d give here a go. Sadly I won’t use them again. I looked through their pictures of what they advertised, picked what I wanted doing for Christmas, I sent them a message to ask about cost, appointments and sent a picture of what I wanted. They replied next day, told me £50, advised I could walk in. When I walked in. the 2 dogs greeted me, I showed the picture I said I’d asked for, they said fine no problem. The guy started to do my nails and asked what length and shape I wanted, he did this no issues. He put the powder colour on, didn’t look like what I wanted, he used clear tips instead of white, proceeded to put the glitter powder on which looked nothing like what I had asked for. He scraped it back off and opened the book to choose the glitter I wanted, none of which was what I wanted. All the glitter was too big but I had to settle on one because I was halfway through having them done. I was annoyed that I had chosen a design from their page that was advertised, only to be told, the pictures aren’t of their work, it’s just downloaded from the internet!! He then painted the white tips on which didn’t make sense to me. Overall they haven’t been done badly but they are not what I was going in for. If I had only wanted French tips, I would have been happy with them, unfortunately Id say if you want a specific pattern or style, I wouldn’t go here. They seemed nice enough and they haven’t done a terrible job, I just wouldn’t return. I would drive the hour to my usual nail bar next time. I will add a photo of the picture I asked for from their page and my nails after they had been done, you can judge for yourself. Certainly not worth £50!

I paid £50 for this. Don't waste your money and time on a salon that gives results like this. I went back to the salon to express my dissatisfaction but they were very irritated and offended. They told me I had to wait for the next available spot.…

I’ve visited Summer Nail a few times before, but today I had a very concerning experience and felt it important to share. The salon was understandably busy with the holidays approaching, and there was a lot of staff I’ve never seen before. I was seated at a makeshift station, but as the salon quickly filled, some clients were served before me. Once my nail appointment began, I was nicked in multiple areas on my cuticles, causing bleeding. It was only 15 minutes in that I noticed the technician performing my nails also had visible injuries with exposed blood on his fingers and he didn’t had any protection, such as gloves or bandages. Given the serious hygiene and safety risks, I decided to leave immediately, but still paid for a partial job to avoid causing a scene. I was just a little shocked. This experience was not only unpleasant but also dangerous and unacceptable. I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience and will not be returning.
