Pharmacy+Health - Monkton Road

Very disappointing visit. I hate to give poor reviews but I feel that it is warranted in this case. I took my elderly mother to this pharmacy for her covid/flu jabs, chosen for its wheelchair access and disabled parking. As we sat and waited I noticed that the floors were in a state of disrepair and were very dirty. They hadn't been properly cleaned for some time in my estimation. The consultation room was also the small kitchen cum store cum office and was very messy and grubby. The establishment did not meet the standards of cleanliness and order one would expect of a clinical setting, in my humble opinion. The consultation room door was left open as the people entered for their jabs and, as it is a small establishment, everyone in the shop could hear the consultation. No privacy at all for these patients, but it gets worse. Whilst the shop is accessible to a wheelchair , the consulting room is not. We couldn't get the wheelchair in so the pharmacist spoke with us in the corridor and awkwardly administered the vaccines there too, watched by the waiting customers. No privacy and a sad loss of dignity for my mum. I was not impressed. It may be fine for collecting your prescriptions and buying things from the shop but I would not recommend it for clinical procedures. I think that this pharmacy needs better wheelchair access, better consulting facilities, some new flooring and a new cleaner. Sorry.

One of the best NHS services I have used. The pharmacist went above and beyond to help me with providing me the correct information about my prescription that other NHS services had not, this really meant a lot to me. I also could not make it there until closing time and he was happy to wait and ensure I had my prescription. Amazing service at this pharmacy, staff are kind, patient and helpful. Thank you!

Went for flu jab, helpful and efficient staff who were willing to sort out anyone's queries whilst I was there.

A very well run community pharmacy with helpful, friendly and efficient service at all times. They cover a considerable area and yet they seem to have coped admirably with all the extra duties handed over to them in recent years. Amenities like this should never be taken for granted and I feel fortunate to have this one close by.

Caked in today to collect a prescription for my daughter, what excellent service, so professional and helpful. Did my blood pressure and were very patient and understanding.
