Absolutely delighted with our new bathroom. Matty really cares about the work he is carrying out and the end result. He is a clean and tidy worker taking great pride in doing a good job. Nothing is too much trouble despite the design of the bathroom changing and some challenging tiling! Matty will go above and beyond to do a great job even coming back at short notice when we had an issue with our boiler. I have nothing but good things to say about him and would highly recommend him to all.

We moved into a house in March this year and wanted some small jobs doing. We’d tried other plumbers, one came to do a quote but then never heard from him again. Another never replied. I contacted Matthew and he arrived on time for doing the quote and was honest about it being several months before it could be fitted in. We got the quotes, and agreed to a date. During the wait one of the small jobs became urgent, as the wobbly heated towel rail in a bathroom fell off the wall completely. We somehow got it back on the wall, and sort of got it to stay put. Matthew arranged for one of his guys to come quickly. While he was there he looked at one of the other jobs, a new electric shower in our en suite, and got that done the same week. The old one was either boiling hot or freezing cold, but the replacement works brilliantly. The last job was a bit unusual, a full house water filter. The company that we bought the filter from gave us the names and numbers of the first two, they’d clearly done some training on it. Matthew was again honest that he’d have to figure it out, but his team did figure it out, and got it done fairly soon after those other jobs. All by the original date he’d given us. Very happy that after failing with other “so-called” specialists with the water filter, we found someone that could do all the jobs asked and this tricky one. I’d watched all the videos on installation of the filter, the company had said it could be a DIY job, but the videos were off-putting. I could see from what they did that they’d done their homework, fitted a pressure valve which ensures the system isn’t at risk, and despite it being in the you’re a tricky spot in our kitchen, did a very smart job.

Matthew removed and then re-built a walk-in shower floor which had been sagging. He then installed a replacement shower base and completed the associated tiling and grouting. In addition, he sorted out two additional issues related to a toilet cistern and an overflow pipe under the kitchen sink. Matthew is a rare find these days. He is an absolute professional who really knows his stuff and is a joy to work with. He is clear in his explanations and brings any issues he finds to the customer’s attention. His method of working is exemplary. Punctual, disciplined, flexible, polite and extremely tidy in his way of working. You always hope you won’t need a plumber, but if I ever do in the future, I would count myself lucky to get Matthew to do work for me again. I really wish him well for the future.

Recently had work done to transform a tired en-suite. The results are a success with new shower cubicle & floor tiles plus many other works done - all to an excellent standard. Nothing was too much to ask, and house was respected at all times. Matthew was a pleasure to work with. Promised start & completion times were adhered to. Would not hesitate to use M Collins again, and have recommended same to family & friends.

Matty has done all of our plumbing work since we bought our house 4 years ago including ordering and fitting a new bathroom, plumbing in a new sink, dishwasher and mashing machine in our kitchen, fixing a cistern issue and fitting new radiators.
