Luke at JLR Roofing was prepared to discuss and quote various options for maintaining my 1936 roof. Once we agreed the scope, they carried out the work in a professional and timely manner. JLR did a great job for us re-roofing our house in slate. They came when they said they would, did what they said they'd do in the timescale they said, and charged me what we'd agreed. The workmanship is excellent and I'm delighted with the end result. Luke is easy to get hold of, and very visible on site, answering my questions thoroughly and promptly. All round, an excellent job and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Always, on time, polite, friendly and courteous and very respectful of our property. They were both exceedingly tidy as they went about stripping the roof, replacing the felt and batons etc and then fitting the brand new tiles. This was attentive craftsmanship at its very best. I loved having them around listening to their friendly banter, cheer and I absolutely loved Rowan’s laugh, just hearing them both made my day as they worked very hard to get us 100% weather proof. I absolutely loved the finish on the edges of the tiles and the utmost care and attention to detail. When I required a complete roof replacement in Dunnington, York, like everyone in that situation I wanted to find a reputable and reliable contractor who would do a good job for a fair price. After meeting with several prospective candidates, I selected JLR Roofing based on the length of time the company had been in business, Luke's technical knowledge and friendly demeanour, coupled with feedback from neighbours & friends about their own experiences with other roofers. JLR roofing provided me with a detailed written quotation, it was perfectly clear what was included in the scope of work, what materials would be used, how long it would take and how much it would cost. During the project I decided to replace the gutters and downpipes while the scaffolding was still up, Luke gave me a reasonable price for the additional work and at the end of the project everything cost exactly what had been quoted. During the work JLR turned up when they said they would, kept me fully informed throughout the process, provided clear answers to any questions, cleaned up at the end of each day, tried to keep disruption to a minimum and were a pleasure to have around.
