Flori Bakery

I had a selection of pastries that were all exceptional with the cardamom and custard swirl being particularly incredible! The service was fantastic despite it being a busy Saturday morning time when I visited. I will definitely be back next time I am in York!

I have been going to Flori in their various stores since they opened their first on Fossgate in 2018. Although I no longer live in York I often make the trip to their Bishopthorpe road location when visiting my parents now. The pastries here justify their higher than average price. Each I have tried had been delicious. Today I bought an almond chocolate - the pastry is delightfully buttery and flakey, there is a good chocolate to pastry ratio, and the almonds add to the whole experience. Thw coffee here is good too, I bought a flat white today and that was nice. The bakery appears to model itself on those in Copenhagen; a place I have been several times. The place is very Hygge and well appointed, staff are friendly and amenable and service comes with a friendly greeting and a smile. If you only visit one bakery in the Bishopthorpe road area I'd recommend Flori as the one to choose.

This bakery offers a delightful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting York. I recently enjoyed a hot chocolate, while my partner opted for a latte. Both were excellent. We also sampled a selection of pastries, including a cinnamon bun, an almond and chocolate pastry, and a pain au chocolat for my daughter. The pastries are freshly prepared and offer a delightful, melt-in-your-mouth experience. This establishment is a valuable find; we recommend foregoing hotel breakfasts in favor of the exceptional offerings available here..

The best coffee and bakery I’ve ever been too, the cinnamon buns were incredible! I sat with my baby girl and felt so comfortable in there with the friendly staff, would recommend to anyone!

Great coffee and lovely pastries. The cardamom bun was warm, soft, sweet, and slightly sticky. I would have liked a stronger cardamom flavour, but it was nice nonetheless!
