We had a wonderful morning sampling the delights of French patisserie and chocolate treats!! We were enticed by the offer through York Restaurant Week and when we entered, we were taken to sweet treat heaven!! The counter tops were bursting with beautifully made cakes, chocolates, and macarons! The hard bit was deciding which flavours to pick!! We made our choices and had a lovely chat with Florian himself, who was friendly and passionate about his works! He made us coffee whilst we sat in the cafe area at the back. We tasted all the beautiful treats and enjoyed perusing the arts on the wall! I’m looking forward to returning next week for the tasting session and learn how they make macarons/chocolates!
Came across this lovely place while shopping in York for Xmas. Was served by Chris and just wanted to try them there and then, no bag needed, they were the best macaroons We've ever had. Fresh and tasty. We decided to go back after having a mooch to take some home, got 12, 4 didn't make it home we ate them on the train. The shop was lovely and clean and had a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back again next time in York and order more. Well done to everyone involved in the running of this shop it was such a pleasure.
So glad I popped into this gem of a shop whilst visiting York. The woman who helped me was super friendly and the macarons are melt in your mouth delicious, with many flavours to choose from!
One of the few chocolatiers in shambles. Many Chocolaty offerings, though I recommend the madeleines served with melted dipping chocolate.
This is a Little French Jewel in York I’m so excited to share my latest discovery with you—Florian Poirot, York’s newest patisserie and honestly, a little slice of Paris tucked into the historic city of York. I had the chance to chat with the owner, and he’s not only incredibly talented but also so down-to-earth and genuinely passionate about his craft. They’ve only been open for about two months, but it already feels like they’ve been part of York forever. Now, let’s talk about their macarons—delicate, crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, with a filling that’s rich but not overpowering. Oh boy, their pistachio macaron—and trust me, this isn’t just any macaron. It’s perfect. Every bite feels like it melts in your mouth. Honestly, it’s the kind of treat you don’t forget. (Okay, yes, I love pistachio, but I promise you—it’s next-level good.) What makes this spot even more special is their café and lovely seating area. Whether you’re like myself exploring York or just need a quiet moment, it’s the perfect little retreat. Sit down, sip a cup of coffee, nibble on a macaron, and just breathe. Even though they’re still the new kid in town, I feel that Florian Poirot has already carved out a space in York’s food scene. Every detail, from the presentation to the flavors, is so thoughtfully crafted—it’s clear the owner has poured his expertise and heart into every treat. If you’re in York, do yourself a favor and stop by. Grab a macaron, settle into a cozy corner, and enjoy a little taste of Paris. You’ll thank me later. 🥐✨
