We ordered a Black Forrest Gateau birthday cake from Nelson's Bakery for my son's 14th birthday. We could not find anything in the shops and found them on my local bakery suggestions. Despite the last minute request Anni and Ervin managed to fit us in. The communication between us was very professional and understanding, specially with our complicated pickup logistics. The cake presentation, ingredients details and taste was immaculate. We will definitely order again. Everyone loved the cake. The best Black Forrest gateau we've ever had. Anni and Ervin supplied the cake for our wedding, and were fantastic from start to finish! They were very responsive with their emails, met us for a cake tasting to tailor our wedding cake however we liked, and were very knowledgeable about the whole process. Our cake turned out perfect, looking and tasting just as we hoped and the guests were still talking about it days later! They also helped in allowing all guests to enjoy cake by providing vegan and gluten-free mini-cakes on the day. Would highly recommend them for any event!

Last year on my birthday, as a student in the UK away from home, my parents surprised me with a beautiful cake and flower bouquet from this bakery all the way from another country! Even though they placed the order from abroad, everything was handled perfectly.The cake was not only beautiful but also absolutely delicious, and the flowers were fresh and stunning. Everything was prepared and delivered with so much care it truly felt like a warm hug from home. Thank you for making my day so special. Anni made the cake for our wedding. For us, it was a real highlight of the day. She absolutely surpassed our expectations, from the meeting in her cafe to try some cakes and discuss the design through to the actual cake on the day. Everything was perfect and so easy. Would highly recommend Anni if you’re looking for a cake, so talented and equally friendly. Also we love her cafe and will definitely drop by whenever we’re in York in the future!
