A MUST visit for any crime fiction fan. The selection here is absolutely fantastic, from signed indie copies, to the latest paperbacks, stunning Agatha Christies to true crime. The owner is fab, as are all the staff employed here, they really know their stuff and are on hand with fantastic recommendations. They also organise a lot of author talks. A wonderful addition to York.

Amazing store!!! Every crime book you could imagine including new releases. Friendly, welcoming and knowledgable staff. Really went out the way to involve my child and settle her with a good book she’d like. Love the window display and decor. Gave my children a sticker each too.

What a wonderful shop! Friendly and knowledgable staff. Spoilt for choice and some beautiful indie editions of books. I had to limit myself but then kept thinking of a book I left behind - remembered where it was in the shop but couldn't remember the title, I messaged and they found it, sent me the link to purchase and it arrived two days later. Brilliant service.

If you’re as obsessed with crime and Agatha Christie as me, you will ADORE this bookshop. Not only is it a quaint but delightful gem in the York town center, but it has a lovely mural, games, postcards, cups and a wonderful and friendly owner. A MUST visit for everyone in york!
