What a terrific shop! The bookshop is lined with pristine books of all varieties, it was like being a kid in a sweet shop for book lovers. The young woman who worked there, was both kind and informative. I left with a signed edition of a fantasy book I love and can't wait for my next visit to York so I can check out this bookshop again.

Lured in by their window display of artwork as they are partaking in the Micklegate Arts Trail in York's Festival Of Ideas. Extremely helpful staff. I love browsing in book shops and Lucius has plentiful titles to entice.

One of those second hand and rare books shops that is always such a pleasure to visit. They have an amazing collection of first and signed editions, but they also have a small but carefully selected selection of regular books on different subjects. Prices are higher than in other bookstores, but not by much, considering the jewels that are on display.

Superb bookshop full of surprises. If you’re hunting a first edition or signed copy then you’ve a good chance finding it here. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to check out the rare books towards the back - some amazing first editions which are very difficult to find. Very happy with the book I bought. Prices are surprisingly reasonable. The rare books are sadly out of my price range but were a joy to examine! Thank you!
