Boyes

I am fortunate enough to have an excellent branch of Boyes closer to home, but when I visit York I always pop to this branch as it’s so much bigger and offers a wider choice in some departments. This branch is on 2 floors -I don’t know if there is lift access for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility but the stairs can be quite challenging. On the first floor is an excellent array of craft, embroidery, wool and materials etc; the wool selection is particularly good. On the ground floor is everything else: sweets, clothes, cleaning products, toiletries, stationery, kitchenalia, bags… you name it, it will probably be on the ground floor of Boyes in York! Lovely staff and good prices too.

A wide variety of items and you can even see some Warhammer figurines here which is really surprising. Loads of cheap materials and the clothing here seems rather good quality in regards to the price. Definitely worth checking out if you'd like to save a little extra cash

Love browsing in here, but why do they not sell 12 to 14 Knickers, they do all the other sizes 10 to 12 and 14 to 16 etc, I've searched the place a couple of times and they just don't do them. As far as I know they get sent items, they don't order items, so they just get what they are given, not Knickers 12 to 14.
