Lovely store and the lovely lady in the carvela/shoe department was very helpful and friendly, she was a credit to the store, nothing was too much trouble for her. Lots of lovely things to buy and lovely clean toilets and restaurant.

Today I had planned to go lingerie shopping and was recommended Fenwicks. I needed a good few items and wanted to be measured as I have recently lost a lot of weight so my bras are not fitting correctly. I asked if I could be measured , the response was there is no one here who can measure you today , they are all on holiday … it’s Saturday , the busiest day of the week and no one to fit a bra in the lingerie department ? I continued to try and find items to fit and found a lovely Wacoal bra . Unfortunately it wasn’t the colour I wanted , I asked if I could order one , no was the reply . They don’t do that colour in your size . The colour I wanted was black and my size is 34C . Not unusual or uncommon . The assistant said they had a 36 D or F ?? Would I like to try either of those ? No thank you , they will be too big , she thought they would be worth a try … The assistant who appeared to be in charge suggested I go to Browns , I did and spent £400 . I then came home and ordered the bra I wanted from Wacoal website in the colour and size I was told they didn’t do …. What a terrible experience . The assistant left on the till tried her best , she said she was new , she was very friendly . Not at all her fault , she was just not ready to be left on her own I was very disappointed in the customer service offered today , I don’t think it reflected the store well. I’m pretty sure it’s not company policy to send customers elsewhere and lose a £400 sale .

Couldn't find the store itself so have to put my review here. Sarah from the Chanel beauty counter gave me a great experience. Forgot to bring my lipstick with me so decided to try a new shade I never had before. She was very helpful finding a shade that fits me and taught me techniques of how to apply lipsticks. Great shopping experience.

I popped into Fenwick department store today and was reminded what a proper department store should feel like. It was an absolute delight to see it still going strong—busy, well presented, and stocked with all the top brands you’d hope to find, rather than feeling tired or hollowed out. The atmosphere was confident and unforced, the kind that comes from doing things well rather than chasing trends. What really stood out, though, was the staff: attentive without being intrusive, genuinely knowledgeable about the products, and clearly proud of what they were selling. It felt reassuringly old-school in the best sense—a place where quality, service, and expertise still matter.

My husband and I came in for a wander today (12/ 02/ 2026). Unfortunately we didn't have money to spend, but Glenn in fragrance was still incredibly lovely. When I asked what scent he wore (because it was the sort of vintage-ambery fragrance profile I'm always drawn to), he enthuastically led me to it, told me a beautiful story about his wedding, and offered samples to try for myself. The woman at MAC - whose name I sadly didn't catch - was a lot of fun, too. I'm a disabled, mentally ill shut-in, so I always appreciate being treated so well in a retail setting, even if I can't afford to buy anything on the shelves. Thanks to Fenwicks for hiring these wonderful people.
