28/10/22: update.... Duke still has a loving home! :-) 07/12/2021: Duke the Rottweiler....... so on a trip to York we passed a charity shop. At the time I hadn't really noticed where the shop was, or what it was called. I noticed a teddy outside in the soft toys bin. It was raining, and he was slightly damp, oh and he had one eye. I picked him up and thought he'd make a lovely present for my Golden Retriever Archie, who loves to cuddle teddies. However, I picked him up and put him down and walked off. After about an hour, I couldn't get the sad looking teddy out of my head, so decided to retrace our steps and find him. We did!!!!! Thank you St. Leonards Hospice Shop. Archie loves him! "St Leonard’s isn’t just about the Hospice, it has 12 shops and a donation centre supporting the work they do caring for terminally ill people and those with life limiting illnesses."

Very kind staff reasonable charity shop prices but there is no wheelchair accessibility and people who have difficulties walking will also be disadvantaged as the stairs are very uneven which is a danger hazard, usually there would be a sign pointing out the uneven stairs. that can't ruin the shop though as it is still a nice shop raising money for charity

No weelchair ramps!! “Caring for the local people” huh? Well apparently that only includes the non disabled. This is discrimination on the highest order. Also, the place is a safety hazard, two uneven stairs, I nearly tripped. Outrageous. And. All I saw was women’s clothing. That’s sexism. (This is a joke btw)
