Wild Bee Flower Farm

Sarah created the most beautiful flower crowns for my wedding party (and myself!), and totally nailed the brief of “Little Women-style”. We ordered 3 buckets of mixed wildflowers to style ourselves, along with an extra bucket of greenery, and they were beyond gorgeous- the flowers were perhaps my favourite aspect of our entire wedding! Sarah herself was lovely, warm and a dream to work with. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough, especially for those looking to support local in York.

We knew from our first meeting with Sarah at Wild Bee Flower Farm that she was the perfect person to bring our wildflower wedding vision to life. Right from our introductory call we could tell that she was passionate about all the same things that we were - sustainable, local, colourful and beautifully wild looks, and bringing so much heart and fun to her floristry. Following our chat she put together a detailed creative brief which perfectly illustrated how she’d understood our vision and could deliver this for us. Whilst we were keen for Sarah to get creative with the wildflower brief, she was so attentive to understanding a few very specific requests that were especially important to us, including flowers in nods to heritage and loved ones no longer with us. Her attention to detail was incredible - she came up with contingency plans for getting these specific flowers incase the buds weren’t blooming at their best by our wedding day, and double-checked the exact shades for flowers in memory of loved ones. Sarah crafted beautiful bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, brooches, and hairpins for us which she delivered to us on the wedding morning, and we opted for DIY buckets to decorate our venue the day before (which was SO much fun and we couldn’t recommend more highly to couples who love getting a bit creative). Seeing Sarah on the wedding morning felt like having an old friend stop by. It was so special seeing her love for her work and this completely came across in the beautiful flowers and arrangements she provided. We got married last Saturday and Sarah provided buckets of flowers for my husband’s family to arrange for us, and she provided my bouquet. The flowers were all grown locally which is something which was really important to us in terms of our views on sustainability and the planet. The flowers were stunningly beautiful and my bouquet was perfect - I loved having it on the day and it completed my outfit. Sarah was also kind during drop offs and professional. Wild Bee Flower Farm is my favourite florist for local, sustainably grown, beautiful flowers. Sarah really does create works of art with her floristry! I ordered flowers for my Mum for Mother's Day and she absolutely loved them, and the flower subscription is a dose of joy with every delivery!
