The Potions Cauldron

We visited today (2 children age 6 and 7), it was absolutely fantastic experience and they loved making the potions. Very interactive with the spells. I think Eli took our group and was very good and funny too. We really enjoyed making the potions. Highly recommend and it was very good value for money too.

Me and my partner went to the Potion Making Class on Thursday evening hosted by the incredible Kai, and oh my goodness – I don’t have a single negative thing to say! ✨ Kai was absolutely hilarious and made the whole experience 10x better than I ever could’ve imagined. 🧙‍♂️💫 It was hands down our favorite part of our trip to York and made my birthday feel unbelievably special 🎉💜. It was always a dream of mine to visit the Shambles in York and try the famous Butter Beer from Potions Cauldron and it was finally a dream come true moment for me. The place screams Harry Potter vibe, it is super small, a bit cramped, and always packed with people, but the moment I stepped in, the Potterhead in me was just jumping with happiness. The Butter Beer is too good, just as I expected it to be. And you absolutely can’t miss the little show they put while serving the drinks. They’ve got a bunch of other magical beverages on the menu, but I’ve never been able to bring myself to try anything else. It’s Butter Beer every time, no regrets.

This interactive and magical cocktail experience is a must-try for any Harry Potter fan. They have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and all of them are tasty with a touch of spookiness and magic. I don’t want to give away too many details, but it’s a great experience that will last about an hour. The staff are also great and make the whole thing worth it. Definitely recommend booking in advance, especially considering the price being so good!

My daughter wanted to try the butterbeer and to our suprise it was actually really nice (the studio tours one is horrendous) she just said there was too much cream. Theres also other drinks to buy which taste great too. The have potions classes too but unfortunately we didn't know before hand and they were booked up so definitely do that before your trip!
