The Shop That Must Not Be Named

A fabulous shop for anyone remotely interested in Harry Potter! As avid Potterheads, we stopped in for a mooch around to see what we could find. The shop is packed with everything from plushies to limited edition illustrated books and expensive collectible items. There really was something for everyone, regardless of how obsessed you are with Harry Potter. The staff were all dressed in Hogwarts attire, and stayed ‘in character’ throughout, referring to Muggle Technology and the like, which was entertaining. Highly recommend a visit!

This was the sole reason I visited York over the weekend to walk down the shambles to this shop and whilst we had to wait in a que (not for long tho) we had a look around this shop and from the window displays to park your brooms outside stand and all the harry potter merchandise and fantastic beasts merchandise its a really good shop for fans,it has wands,sweets,cups,harry potter individual houses items and will defo be visiting again the nxt time I'm in york

We love this Harry Potter shop! It feels very magical and a perfect fit for such a shop. We are annual attendees of the London Warner Bros Studio Tour and yet there is something special about this little shop (though it is bigger than we thought!). The staff are so so friendly here and it was a delight to shop in.

My husband, son and myself visited in August, the shop itself is amazing for anyone even slightly interested in harry potter and the staff were brilliant... BUT (this is not a bad but...) our son left his teddy there from the dungeons, everyone tried to help find it in the day, being as busy as the shop deserved, No1 could find it. When a member of staff found it, they contacted us to let us no, (we tried getting it collected as we don't live in York but we failed) the staff went above and beyond for our son to send it back to him. I cannot thank you all enough for looking after him for us.

Great cute shop the staff communicate well in order to have the smooth flow of customers through the shop. Two members of staff stood out for us which were Omolara and Elizabeth great charisma, friendly, helpful, informative and passion for Harry Potter, both spoke to us in such a good manner and were very good at their jobs truly a credit to the company. I hope they get some sort of recognition for their hard work.
