The Food Warehouse

Lovely service and great discounts for students. My partner and I were doing our weekly shop last week. Once we had got to the end of the till ready to pay, the staff member linn/lynn(unsure of the spelling) asked if we had everything we needed and also asked if we were students. They couldve have just let us pay but instead let us know about the student discount and grab our Id. She saved us money on our shopping and was lovely to speak to. Will happily go again.

Really poor. Not been to Iceland for ages, so thought I'd do a weekly shop and try it again. Spending an estimated £100 clearly I needed a trolley. There wasn't any. So asked an assistant, who really couldn't be bothered, just said they have 2 they must be on use. 2!!!!!!! It was suggested to go up to B&M at the other end of the shopping parade and get one of there trolleys! That's not acceptable.

Extremely rude staff. Me and my friend came to the store but couldn’t find what we were looking for. As we were trying to leave (both had pushchairs) we politely asked the mr in front if we could get by as the only way out is through the till. He kindly moved to the side, unfortunately the cashier (older lady with blonde hair and glasses 15/10/25 approx 13:25) decided it was appropriate to lay into us saying “it’s not fair to ask HER customers to move out of the way so we can get past”. It was completely unnecessary as the man in front was more than happy to move and said so himself. I’ve never in my life been spoken to like that by a member of staff, completely unprofessional and the people behind us were also shocked by the interaction. This member of staff needs some serious customer service training.

Terrible layout and rude staff — felt like I was being trapped I popped into this shop for a quick look and maybe a small purchase, but decided against it after seeing a long queue and only one till open. No big deal — until I tried to leave. There was no clear exit. The only way out was through the tightly packed queue of customers. Not wanting to push past people, I politely asked the cashier, "How do I get out?" Her response? A condescending, "You say excuse me," said with pure attitude. That kind of response is uncalled for when the store layout literally forces customers into a bottleneck with no obvious exit. It felt like they were trying to trap people into staying and buying something just because there’s no way to leave without squeezing through a crowd. Totally unprofessional, both in customer service and store design. Will not be back.

Usually shop for basic frozen stuff. Bit of nightmare for coeliacs & intolerances but today I bought gluten free bread & there was a freezer of gluten & dairy free products. Long may it last !
