Flying Tiger Copenhagen

I discovered Flying Tiger years ago on a trip down to London and love the fact that this one is so close to home. It’s a great little shop in the Coppergate shopping centre just by Fenwicks and across from Primark. Going into Flying Tiger for the first time is like entering a cross between an IKEA and the best sweetshop ever-it’s full of wonderful, colourful, reasonably priced things that you never realised you needed until now… Cute notebooks, colourful dishes, candles, giant marshmallows, paint your own Easter eggs, finger puppets … they are all there! Like many stores they now have a number of self service tills but there are also lovely staff on traditional tills. A must visit every time that I go to York!

Really nice shop selling carefree gifts with a happy vibe and atmosphere to go with it. Fantastic and enjoyable.

Fun and Quirky shop! Definitely worth a visit, I didn’t realise which useful little nicknacks I was missing in my life…. Well worth a look!

I like this shop - plenty of odd little knick knacks in amongst regular gift items, some tech products, kitchen products and stationery. A fun shop - wish there was a bit more room in there, though!

It's just the time of year, excess stock making it slightly awkward to navigate the store. It's popular and so draws a lot of customers. On the plus side a member of staff quickly spotted me waiting for the self-checkout and stopped what she was doing to serve me on the regular till. It'll be 5 stars once Christmas is over.
