Molly Browns - Prom, Evening & Occasion Wear York

We chanced upon Molly Browns while taking my son to York as he was ringing at the minster. We weren’t looking for a prom dress (we were Christmas shopping) but a dress in the window caught her eye. We went upstairs to have a look at the prom dresses and we were helped by Emmi. She was an absolute star! She put my daughter completely at ease from the start, her knowledge of the ranges, fit and styles showed and she offered suggestions and colours my daughter hadn’t even considered. She was incredibly helpful and we never felt pressured into making a decision. I would highly recommend her to anyone who’s looking for a prom dress. They had a great range of different styles, designers at different prices. I was a little apprehensive about prom dress shopping but Emmi made it a fun experience.

Went to York for the day and went passed molly brown .I could see some lovely evening wear /prom dresses. So I thought I. Would go in and see wot they had in red .they showed me upstairs and showed me a dress .I tried it on .it was beautiful said I'd think about it as I'm getting married in 20 mths time .I walked out the shop turned back around and went back inside and said yes ill buy the dress lol .the girls were lovely. I believe their names were emmy and izzy .such a friendly atmosphere and the dresses are stunning .so now I have my wedding dress

My daughter chose her prom dress today at Molly Browns, and what a gorgeous experience it was. We were served by Emmi, who was just so wonderful and helpful, and between them they found her perfect dress. We're all still smiling! Thank you, Emmi.

What a beautiful boutique. An immaculate, stylish 'lady' assisted me...didn't have exactly what I wanted but left such an impression that I will definitely return when next in York. I managed to source the hat from Helen Moore...a brand I remember from years ago .....thank you

Visited the York store with my elderly parents to find an outfit for my mother to wear to her granddaughter’s wedding. The staff were kind and attentive, especially given my mother’s limited mobility and use of a wheelchair, which we really appreciated. She found a lovely dress and jacket, totaling £547. However, once we got home, we discovered the exact same outfit on multiple websites at significantly lower prices—Molly Browns had marked it up by around 130%. While I understand that brick-and-mortar stores have overheads, such a steep markup feels excessive. The clothing is beautiful and the staff are helpful, but I would recommend doing some price comparisons before making a purchase.
