Up & Running York

What a great shop! Highly professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff in a well presented environment. My daughter and I went in and she had her gait analysed which took only a minute or two. The member of staff clearly explained the analysis and responded to her comments then brought 3 different shoes to try. She used the gait analysis machine each time and finally settled on one pair. There was no pushy sales pitch or promoting of the most expensive pair, just great service! The colour my daughter preferred was not in stock in the shop but she was able to order it online receiving a discount code to use. We ordered them when we got home and they were delivered less than 24 hours later! If you are a runner this is definitely somewhere you should visit.

Outstanding service from Mark at the York store! I had such a great experience at the Up & Running York store today! Mark, the manager, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I’d been to two other Up & Running stores while looking for trainers for a Half Marathon , but the help I received from Mark really stood out. He took the time to find the perfect pair of trainers and gave me invaluable advice on how to get the best out of them. Fantastic service — highly recommend the York store!

Great staff, really welcoming and knowledgeable. Stephen talked me through literally every single shoe they had, knew the different features and explained which shoes might be best for me. Even when the store got busy, he didnt make me feel rushed to decide so he could move onto the next customer

Great and knowledgeable staff. The younger staff member (Barney? I'm sorry, I never actually asked, I'm just going by the receipt) gave very informative, genuine and helpful responses to my questions. I'm highly indecisive and he expressed the patience of a Saint as I figured out which trainer felt best. I highly recommend the store to other fellow beginners.

I was served by Barbara, who was very helpful in finding me the perfect running shoe. She assessed my gait on the treadmill and was very patient whilst I tried on many different shoes, offering expertise on all of them. I would highly recommend coming here for running shoes.
