Bootham Guest House

Used to stay here when I went over for World Cup. Situated in a great spot in York, it was great walking distance for anything in the whole city. I stayed in room #9 which is in the peak of the building and could see the city from my window. Breakfast was traditional English and wonderful as was the innkeep. He was super friendly and hospitable. I would stay here again for certain. York is only a mile or so walk from Clifton Moor where there was a Tesco for food and supplies but I did take the bus back.

Good, fairly central base for our visit. Room comfortable, if not huge. Breakfast was fine as long as you wanted boiled or poached egg. "We don't do fried" Never heard of this in my life. Did not spoil the stay, but, lost a star because of it!

A 20 minute walk from the station but definitely worth it. The rooms are decently sized, clean and with all desired amenities. Andrew the owner is friendly and the breakfast included in the price is the best example of an English breakfast there is. Also the comforts bed of my stay so far.

Lovely Guesthouse which isn’t too far of a walk from the station if you take the cycle path across the river. Everything was satisfactory with the room and very good quality for the price we paid! Lovely breakfast with lots of options, very good that it��s included with the room. Would love to stay again next time I’m in York!

Had a very nice stay in the double non en-suite room. Cosy room and comfy bed and the toilet and bathroom were clean. Friendly staff, and a lovely full English breakfast as well as a very reasonable price. Fairly short walk into the town centre and the main station. Would definitely recommend.
