City Guest House

We stayed here in December while visiting the Christmas markets and had a lovely experience. The B&B is in a great location, very close to the city centre and easily within walking distance. Julie and Allan were fantastic hosts – so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. Great price for such a brilliant location. We felt very well looked after and would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic stay, it’s hard not to notice the care and attention Julie and Allan pays to this wonderful place. They are such thoughtful and considerate hosts. The room is clean, cozy and offers some thoughtful touches you don’t often see these days - like a list of recommendations and sewing kit! The bed is comfy and the decor is lovely. It’s much warmer than the typically sterile hotel rooms. The breakfast is also very mindfully served, with personalised cooked breakfast as well as continental options. It was more than I could have asked for. My trip to York was especially memorable thanks to my stay here.

A very cozy and familiar atmosphere. I felt safe and well looked after. The rooms are very clean and quiet. The breakfast was wonderfully delicious and always accompanied by a little chat. The location is very close to the city center. I would stay here again! Thank you for everything.

This is such a lovely place to stay. Comfortable and clean, exceptional breakfasts and nothing is too much trouble for Allan and Julie. Great breakfast chats. We were made to feel at home. Can't wait to visit again.

Julie and Allan are such wonderful hosts - incredibly accommodating and truly went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel was incredibly clean, the room was a good size and the breakfast each morning was delicious.
