Diamonds Guest House

Lovely room, nice and cosy but spacious! Very clean, bathroom a nice size. Hot water was fast too! Was nicely lit with Christmas decorations and had spare blankets. Located in a nice area just 15 - 20 minute walk from the centre. Cafes 10 minute walk away. Parking was £7 additional though & mattresses could do with a topper or updating, but all in all a wonderful stay!

Booked a last minute stay for £40 and for the price it way exceeded expectations. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean with sufficient amenities. Location was close enough to the centre to walk to and from the hotel, but there is a bus stop right outside as well. The Smart TV was a particular highlight for us as it meant we could watch Netflix. I would recommend this guest house in a heartbeat for anyone wanting a budget friendly stay in York.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights during the week and we absolutely loved our stay. Very easy remote check in, the room was lovely, bright and spacious, the bed was comfy with decent pillows. There was a decent sized kettle, cups and fridge with as much coffee tea and milk as you wanted. The location was fantastic a good 15 minute walk into the centre all the way along the city wall. Excellent bus route with buses every hour, sainsburys and cafés are a few minutes walk away. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Diamonds Guest House in York was absolutely amazing! It was our family’s first time visiting York, and the whole experience was truly memorable. The guest house was spotless, tidy, and very comfortable. The location was perfect and easy to find, plus it’s just a short drive to the town centre, which made exploring York super convenient. The price was very affordable too, so it’s great value for money. The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We loved every bit of our stay and can’t wait to come back again. Definitely recommend Diamonds Guest House to anyone visiting York!

Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Well supplied with tea, coffee and milk and also shower gels shampoos and conditioner in the bathroom. We arrived slightly before the official check-in time, but we were quickly shown to our room without any issues. Just a 20 minute walk to the racecourse in one direction and a 15 minute walk to central York the other way (with some nice, independent suburban shops to browse in on the way). Good value for money. No complaints.
