Minster Walk Guest House

I had such a wonderful stay at Minster Walk Guest House — honestly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The room was spotless, and the bathroom was sparkling (the taps were the shiniest I’ve ever seen!). I loved the décor; you can really tell how much thought and care has gone into all the little details. Breakfast was such a treat, served in a lovely basket, and it felt really special. The lady who looked after us was incredibly kind and couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. I’d definitely love to come back — highly recommend this place!

Stayed in room 8 (the small double room) in early October. Perfectly sized for two persons and larger than I expected. I found the bed to be very comfortable. Do note that there is very limited storage in the room, and no storage, at all, in the bathroom. A note of thanks to the chap that let me out of the room after I accidentally locked myself in at 7pm. Oops.

Stayed here twice now for long weekends, just returned home today. We just want to say Thankyou so much for making us feel so welcome, you go above and beyond to ensure a great stay, the breakfast is delicious too, we love this place as it has a quirky homely feel, very clean and a short walk to the centre. We will definitely be returning again 😊

We got married in York October 2024 & had two fabulous nights in The Minster Walk Guest House. The staff are wonderful, even offering to iron my husband's to be new shirt that he had to go and buy, less than an hour before we got married (he left his at home). The breakfast was so quirky & delicious . A lovely cosy lounge where you can help yourselves to tea/coffee & cake 😋. We loved it so much that we're going back for our 1st Anniversary. As a family of 5, we had rooms 8 and 8 3/4 (a nod to Harry Potter). The beds were very comfortable and I liked the way the windows opened. The bathrooms were quite nice as well. We had more than enough room for our family. The staff are so friendly and fun to talk to. The guest lounge is equipped with coffee, tea, milk and a fridge for your leftovers. There are games and puzzles while you're resting a bit. Great location! 5 minutes to the river Ouse, a pub next door with great pizza, 8-10 minutes to York Minster. Breakfast will be your choice (or choices) of: -Breakfast baps (great bread by the way) -Yogurt parfaits -fresh baked pastries -choice of juices
