No. 21 York - Guest Accommodation

Just spent a fantastic weekend in York celebrating my partner's birthday, and we couldn't have had a better experience. Simon and Andrea have built up a gem of a B&B business in a perfect location for train commuters, just over the bridge from the York rail station, and just a few blocks from town centre. The 2 room suite was spacious, classy, updated, and clean. The breakfasts were generous and delicious - don't even think about skipping out on them, you'll find nothing that comes close at restaurants in town. It was a delight chatting with Simon about his travels, hospitality experience, and about the best things to see and do in York. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful experience. Simon and Andrea are perfect hosts, very welcoming and friendly. They did everything for giving us an incredible stay. We had nice chats (in German with Andrea) and a ton of very useful tipps which made our stay unforgettable. The rooms are tasteful and spotless clean. We never had such a perfectly clean bathroom. The beds are comfy and big. The breakfast has great choices and was very tasty. The house is in short walking distance to the city center but very quiet. We cannot recommend it enough. The best B&B we stayed in. The host take a lot of time and care in making your stay special. Home-made breads and jams, for example. The location is within easy walking distance of anything you could want.

If this place has a vacancy, book now. Seriously. Excellent accommodations in a prime location with top-notch service. Rooms are clean and spacious (for the UK) with quality beds and bedding. Simon prepares the delicious breakfasts himself, even providing fresh, homemade bread! He and his wife Andrea generously cared for my girlfriend when she came down with a stomach bug, doing the best they could to make sure we still enjoyed our time in York. The two of them are superlative hosts, and this is one of the nicest guest houses I've ever visited. Highly, highly recommended!

We cannot recommend this B&B enough. Simon's porridge and full English breakfasts were wonderful, with homemade bread readily available. Our room room was clean and beyond comfortable. To name a few amenities, there were heated towel racks, robes, and locally-made, excellent mattresses. Both host and hostess went above and beyond to help us navigate a few unexpected circumstances by connecting us with local resources. We will be returning if we can!!!
