Set in open countryside, Oaklands lies just 3 miles north of the ancient and historic city of York, and giving read access to the North Yorkshire Dales, Moors and Coast. Only 9 miles away is Castle Howard, the magnificent ancestral home of the Howards. There are of course, numerous places and areas of beauty and interest, which we'd be only too happy to highlight on your arrival at Oaklands, where you'll find a very warm welcome in our friendly and comfortable home, which likes on a very regular bus route to York and close to Park & Ride facilities.

Each of our bedrooms is equipped with remote control colour TV, radio alarm, hair dryer, coffee and tea-making facilities, having private or en suite facility. We also have a separate guest lounge cum breakfast room where we've provided a selection of books and games for the enjoyment of both our adult and younger guests. Free off-road parking is available with use of our attractive garden, the only place at Oaklands where smoking is allowed. Broadband available.

Our more than ample full English breakfast will ensure that you're well nourished before you set off to discover the delights of North Yorkshire and, whilst we don't provide dinner, you'll find the local area rich in both pubs and restaurants, providing cuisine of a standard second to none anywhere in the country!
