We stayed at Crescent Guest House for 5 nights in Dec 2025. It's all we had hoped it to be and more. The owner Mo is an absolute gem of a person and personally ensured we had everything we could need during our stay. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Very well maintained and made up. We had an ensuite and the shower was nice too. Place is absolutely clean and the common dining / kitchen area is well stocked. Mo provided us with space for storing our food in the shelves and refrigerator too. His colleagues are also very pleasnt, friendly and well spoken. It is the perfect mix of comforts of a hotel and warmth of your own home. All the other guests we came across were friendly and polite too. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit York, UK.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. Mo was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The property is very well located, close to all amenities and within walking distance of the town centre. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and the bed was exceptionally cosy. We truly felt at home and would definitely return. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting York.
What an incredible stay we had.. The owner Mo went above and beyond..we stayed two nights. it was my birthday on the second night, staying and we arrived back and there were balloons.confetti, flowers and a birthday card left in the room for me. It was an amazing surprise and so very thoughtful. The room itself was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful guest house
We had such a lovely stay at The Crescent! The decor is beautiful — stylish yet cosy — and the whole place feels really inviting. Our host was so welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with plenty of space to relax. The location couldn’t be better — right in the centre of York, so everything is within easy walking distance. A perfect base for exploring the city. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again
We stayed here and it was lovely. Staff was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Mo upgraded us to a king bedroom and we was super pleased, he was great! We definitely recommend this place and we will be back, they also made our dogs stay perfect.
