Great little site for York visits. Can walk into city in an hour or walk to park and ride for around 30 minute journey. Pub is friendly and all the team working there are great.

Excellent pitch with electric, water and drainage on the pitch and helpful staff. They have dropped a star due to the very cold toilet / shower block, these could be easily rectified by the management. I will come back again regardless and will give 5 stars next time if the block is warmer.

Booked this site a few times Last 2 times were a bit of a nightmare This time wanted a meal for about 7pm Couldnt serve us as large parry coming in which we understand However they said if we came in at 5.30 they could accommodate us Not ideal but went in for 5.30 and they said they couldn't?? The pub was packed (not pubs fault) but if they had said this before booking we wouldn't have booked as my wife is hard of hearing so conversation was nil. The time before that the same again but also there was loud music playing Moral of the story is Rawcliffe get your act together and either tell people what's happening in pub before taking people's money or accolade caravan people and their needs. On the plus side side the toilets and showers were clean.

Campsite couldn't fault it, slightly expensive, 35 per night, but you have fresh water, waste water, and chemical disposal on your site. The downside restaurant at the pub, we had a meal and bottle wine, took them 3 attempts to get our bill right, 103 pound 1st bill! Second bill slightly less, so on, finally get the bill right and had charged me full price for wedges when should reduced as per offer with my meal, did take it off but what a cocktail up, safe to say won't be eating there again. Food mediocre, expensive for what it was 😳

Not a bad site, hard standing level pitches and easy one hour walk into York. But for Ā£30 a night I’m not sure I think it’s worth it. We’re a camper van and there is no washing up facilities and only one toilet and shower in the men’s and ladies but they were decent. But please can there be more than one hook in the shower!!
