Moxy York

Our second time staying at the Moxy, Fantastic hotel, it has great décor and a very friendly vibe. Staff were all very helpful. Rooms are a good size and very modern with very comfy beds. Hotel is dog friendly too so our two dogs enjoyed the attention in the lounge area.

This was almost the perfect hotel, great location, minutes from the city centre but far enough away to not hear the noise, really nice hotel, the room was nice, but there was one thing that nearly ruined it. Under the bed there are motion detection lights, every time my mate moved during the night, he was in a bed next to mine, it picked up on his moments and activated in turn lighting up the whole room, it woke me up so many times I barely got any sleep and was more tired come the morning than when I was going to bed. Had it not been for the breakfast being decent this review would have been worded completely different, those motion sensor lights are such a poor design choice

Great central location, staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good, great varied selection, rooms were good but the bathroom was a little bit dirty, cleaners need to remember the places you see when you sit down! overall a good stay!

Absolutely beautiful retro hotel to stay in York. The staff were very welcoming smiling friendly made us feel at home. Lovely room excellent shower big TV. Tea coffee facilities in room. Excellent breakfast choices of many cereals, full cooked breakfast or continental your choice 🙂 I will definitely come back. York is awesome and the people Thank you kindly John room 241

The breakfast buffet is a well-thought out/well-laid out tsunami of deliciousness. I believe they have mistaken us for members of the Royal family. Staff was massively welcoming and helpful upon arrival and this morning at breakfast. Rooms are tidy and proper and the hotel is conveniently located.
