Welcome to Yorkshire
News • August 13th, 2026
|Richmond House Vets, a beloved veterinary practice in West Yorkshire, has recently moved to a new location in Mirfield. This relocation, which took place on 13th August 2026, brings with it not only a fresh look but also a host of upgraded facilities designed to improve the care offered to pets and their owners.
New Facilities and Features
The new practice is located just a short distance from its original site in Dewsbury. It has been thoughtfully designed with both pets and their owners in mind. Some of the exciting features include:
Four consulting rooms for thorough examinations.
Separate waiting areas for cats and dogs to reduce stress on pets.
A dedicated laboratory and dental suite for advanced care.
Convenient on-site parking for easy access.
Specialised inpatient facilities and kennel spaces for comfortable stays.
The aim of these enhancements is to create a more efficient and pleasant experience for both pets and their owners during visits to the vet. The practice has also introduced separate wards for cats and dogs, ensuring that each type of pet receives care in a calm and suitable environment.
Continuity of Care
Despite the move and the new facilities, Richmond House Vets remains committed to the high-quality care that the local community has relied on for over 30 years. The long-standing team is still in place, but the practice is also expanding its staff.
Two new experienced vets and additional vet nurses will join the team, all of whom have previously worked at well-respected veterinary practices. This growth is intended to support the increasing number of clients and ensure that each pet receives the best possible care.
Richmond House Vets is now part of the inspiring vet care network, which allows for collaboration with other veterinary practices. This partnership aims to enhance the standards of care and introduce the latest innovations in veterinary medicine while maintaining the local approach that clients have come to appreciate.
Open Day Celebration
To celebrate the opening of its new home, Richmond House Vets will host an open day on 16th September. This event invites clients and their pets to explore the new practice and see areas that are usually off-limits to the public. It is an excellent opportunity for pet owners to meet both familiar faces and new team members, learn about the upgraded facilities, and understand what the move means for their pets’ care.
Practice Director Louise Marshall expressed enthusiasm about the relocation:
“We’re thrilled to introduce our new look and our brand-new home as part of the inspiring vet care family. Having served this community for over 30 years, this move enables us to provide even better care for our patients.”
Practice Manager Debra Lievin echoed this sentiment:
“From the dedicated lab and inpatient facilities to kennels and the dental suite, we’re excited to welcome existing and new customers to explore the upgraded practice and new features. Above all, we’re looking forward to continuing our efforts in providing the best care possible for our patients in the new space.”
