Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Launches Summer Dining Experience from July 11

This summer, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is offering a delightful dining experience that combines the charm of heritage steam travel with delicious food and stunning scenery. This unique opportunity allows visitors to explore one of Yorkshire's most picturesque areas while enjoying a meal on a train that has been lovingly restored to reflect its vintage glory.

Dining Train Programme

Running from July through September, the railway's Dining Train programme invites guests to embark on a culinary journey through the heart of Brontë Country. This five-mile route between Keighley and Oxenhope offers breath-taking views of the Worth Valley, making it a perfect day out for families and friends alike.

Passengers can relax in beautifully restored carriages while enjoying freshly prepared meals served right at their table. The experience is designed to be both enjoyable and memorable, with the sound of the steam engine and the scenic landscape enhancing the dining atmosphere.

Among the highlights of the Dining Train programme are the popular Afternoon Tea trains. Guests can indulge in a traditional selection of sandwiches, cakes, and sweet treats, all while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Another favourite is the Haworth Haddock experience, where passengers can enjoy a classic fish and chips meal, making the most of the changing views from their carriage window.

Seasonal Dining Experiences

In addition to these popular options, the railway also offers seasonal dining experiences. These include:

• Ploughman's Lunch Trains: A relaxed meal featuring a selection of cheeses, bread, and pickles.

• Italian Job Dining Experience: A delightful menu inspired by Italian cuisine.

Unlimited Travel and Exploration

Each dining experience includes a Day Rover ticket, which allows guests unlimited travel on the railway throughout the day. This means visitors can hop on and off the train to explore various stations, villages, and attractions along the route before or after their meal. The summer programme kicks off on Saturday, 11th July, and continues for the duration of the summer, with various dining experiences available on selected dates.
