Happy Diwali! Yorkshire celebrates the Festival of Lights

Community groups across Yorkshire will be celebrating Diwali on Monday 24th October 2022 and in the following week. Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists celebrate the Festival of Light each year, which coincides with the darkening days in the UK and heralds a welcome display of lamps, candles, colourful floor patterns (rangoli) and dancing.

Piece Hall, Halifax


There is a free, public, Diwali event taking place at The Piece Hall in Halifax on Tuesday 25th October 2022 with dancing and lantern making from 11am.
