The Traddock

I can't normally be bothered to write reviews but I felt compelled to come on here and say how amazing the staff were. I don't think I've ever been somewhere so welcoming and with every single member of staff going so out of their way to give great service. I've stayed in a lot of expensive hotels all over the world and I've never experienced this level of service. The hotel was really warm and welcoming, very homely with all the fires and old furniture. The room itself was also cosy and the bed was comfy. Molton Brown smellies is a nice touch. Food was good. I can see some people might not like the old worn look of some of the furniture but I liked the fact they had patched up things rather than throwing them away. The location was lovely as well. Lots of nice walks. Oh and lovely proper tea and coffee facilities in the room with homemade biscuits. It's also dog friendly, we didn't have our dog with us but saw another family with one.

This is an exceptional place. A little off the beaten track but what a wonderful country house. Austwick is a lovely village, the Game Cock is a great pub, but The Traddock is amazing. As soon as you walk in, it feels special, the service is great without being over fussy. The food is exceptional and the rooms are welcoming. The weekday offer is definitely worth a look. All-in-all a fantastic experience. Will be back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at The Traddock a couple of weeks ago for Dinner+B+B, I would highly recommend it. The house is beautifully decorated, very classic and elegant. The staff were very helpful and polite and we felt very well looked after. Dinner was delicious, with a very well thought out menu and well executed dishes. And it is dog friendly, with beautiful walks from the doorstep...perfect! We will certainly be visiting again, what a lovely treat.

I simply had to write a review for this wonderful establishment, even though I wasn't staying as a resident! The staff here are genuinely friendly and most welcoming. ​What truly sets this hotel apart is the warmth they extend to everyone—even non-residents like myself. My dog and I stopped by, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like valued customers. They were delightful with my dog, offering a proper fuss and a warm welcome.

We had the most perfectly relaxing and enjoyable afternoon tea experience at the Traddock. The setting is wonderful and cosy, staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was exquisite. Can't recommend highly enough, thank you.
